Tampa celebrates St. Patrick’s Day Saturday with Mayor’s River O’Green

The Hillsborough River will transform to a bright green this weekend, as part of the yearly food and music festival celebrating Saint Patrick’s Day.

Bob Buckhorn hosts the third annual Mayor’s River O’Green on Saturday, March 15 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park in downtown Tampa. The family-friendly event features live entertainment, games, kids’ activities, and food trucks serving beer and Irish fare.

Sponsors include the Tampa Downtown Partnership, Friends of Tampa Recreation, Grow Financial, the Tampa Bay Times, the Krewe of Shamrock and McDonald’s.

Admission is free, and the city asks attendees to donate food items for the Salvation Army. A tent will be onsite to collect donations.
