Tampa City Council candidate Jackie Toledo holds fundraiser Thursday

Jackie Toledo will host a major fundraiser on Thursday for her bid for the Tampa City Council District 6.

The event begins at 5:30 p.m. at Ulele Restaurant, 1810 N Highland Ave. in Tampa.

Host committee members include Ulele’s owner, Columbia Restaurant Group president Richard Gonzmart, former Pinellas County Commissioner Ronnie Duncan, attorney David Brickhouse, lobbyists Ron Pierce and Louis Betz, Tony DeSisto, Rick and Merritt Lindstrom, Glen Gilzean and others.

Toledo serves as a senior project engineer at CPH Engineers in Tampa, and chairs Latinos Unidos, the Mayor’s Hispanic Advisory Council. Recognized as a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE), she is the recipient of the 2002 Florida State Institute of Transportation Engineer of the Year.
