Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn says Pinellas Supervisor of Elections Deborah Clark should be fired

Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn didn’t hold back Tuesday after learning about an elections blunder across Tampa Bay in Pinellas County; he thinks SOE Deb Clark should be “fired”.

In Pinellas, more than 12,500 voters were wrongly telephoned the morning of the election with a message that they had until 7 p.m. “tomorrow” to turn in their absentee ballots.

Early Tuesday afternoon, Buckhorn tweeted: This Supervisor of Elections should be fired at the next election.

I, myself Tweeted that a challenger needed to be found to run against Clark in the next election.

Clark has endured embarrassment after embarrassment out of her office.

Today’s incident occurred after, just on Sunday, a voting rights group with the AFL-CIO alleged Monday that Pinellas County poll workers turned away residents who had proper identification on Saturday.
