Friday’s monthly Tampa Tiger Bay Club meeting is another casualty of the post-hurricane Irma environment.
Organizers announced Thursday due to the impact that the storm has had on the community, they will reschedule the program slated for noon on Friday that was going to feature a debate on charter schools.
Among the guests scheduled to discuss the issue included Hillsborough County School Board member Melissa Snively, Academy Prep Center of Tampa head Lincoln Tamayo, and Doug Tuthill, president of Step Up for Students.
Organizers say that if member of the public have already paid for the event, their payment will be refunded “in the next 24 hours.”
Tampa Tiger Bay Club head Vic DiMaio says he hopes to reconstitute the same panel on October 20.
