The Hill: Adams “likely favorite” over Mica

The Hill takes a look today at several races involving GOP freshmen and mentions the  Florida congressional race that pits Republican incumbents Sandy Adams  and John Mica against each other and concludes … Adams is the favorite.

“Adams starts off as the likely favorite in the race: she currently represents much more of the new district, and Mica’s 20 years in the House might hurt him on the campaign trail, say observers,” the Hill says. “‘Longevity in office is not a credential that’s going to play really well with the Republican base. With Congress’s approval being at such a low level, any long-term incumbent, Democrat or Republican, faces some uphill battles,’ said University of South Florida Professor Susan MacManus.”
