“Unlike many presidential races in recent history, there probably won’t be a ‘eureka’ moment for this GOP nomination,” the University of Virginia’s Larry Sabato writes in an op-ed for today’s Wall Street Journal. “But there are six decisive days that will be worth watching on the road to the Republican nominating convention in Tampa. Three favor Mitt Romney and three favor his opponents.
March 13: Primaries in Alabama and Mississippi, caucuses in Hawaii-Mr. Romney not favored.
April 3: Primaries in Maryland, Wisconsin and the District of Columbia-Mr. Romney favored.
April 24: Primaries in Connecticut, Delaware, New York, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island-Mr. Romney favored.
May 8: Primaries in Indiana, North Carolina and West Virginia-Mr. Romney not favored.
May 29: Texas primary-Mr. Romney not favored.
June 5: Primaries in California, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico and South Dakota-Mr. Romney favored.”
