Incumbent Florida House members Tom Goodson and Larry Lee, Jr. have each drawn Republican opponents in their re-election bids this year, according to the state Division of Elections.

Orlando Republican George Joseph Collins filed a campaign account Thursday in a bid to unseat the two-term Goodson for House District 50, which covers parts of Orange and Brevard counties.

In addition, Port St. Lucie Republican Robert Siedlecki, Jr. filed paperwork to run against Lee, a freshman Democrat also from Port St. Lucie, in the House District 84 race. Siedlecki is a co-founder of the Palms West Republican Club and 2006 candidate for the State House District 85.

HD 84 covers eastern St. Lucie County.

Until now, Goodson and Lee had both been running unopposed.
