Tom Lee far outdistancing fundraising efforts of primary opponent Rachel Burgin

In one of the state’s most closely watched races, former Senate President Tom Lee reported raising $99,190 between July 21 and Aug. 9, giving him an overall total of $333,825 as he tries to return to the Legislature in Hillsborough County’s newly drawn Senate District 24.

His primary opponent, Rep. Rachel Burgin, collected $13,700 during the period and had a total of $141,678.
