Associated Industries of Florida — the “Voice of Florida business” — really likes Governor Rick Scott and doesn’t mind repeating itself about how much it likes him.
AIF distributed a press release today reminding everyone that it endorsed Scott in early March and that it still likes him today.
“In early March, AIF Board of Directors unanimously endorsed Governor Rick Scott in his campaign for re-election for the 2014 Election Cycle,” says AIF president Tom Feeney in the release. “We are pleased with the Governor’s continued efforts for ‘It’s Working Florida,’ that showcases the Governor is doing everything to bring new job creators to the Sunshine State, help businesses flourish and keep hard-earned dollars in Floridians’ pockets.”
Undoubetly, Gov. Scott is pleased that Speaker Feeney and AIF are pleased. And, certainly, Speaker Feeney and AIF are pleased that Gov. Scott is pleased.
Everyone’s pleased!
Of course, Speaker Feeney’s comments are in regards to Scott’s recent round of job tours and endorsements from the business community and he probably needed to say something about all of that. But he kind of comes off as the political equivalent of a Sally Field acceptance speech.
You like him, Speaker Feeney, you really, really like Gov. Scott.
