Republican Candidate Travis Hutson today announced that he has raised more than $70,000 in the first quarter of 2012 in his bid for the newly-drawn Florida House District 24 seat, which includes parts of Flagler, St. Johns and Volusia Counties.

“I thank my supporters for their outpouring optimism and support for my campaign for the Florida House,” said Hutson.  “It is very encouraging to receive this kind of vast support early on, and I am honored that our local Republicans are choosing to back me to represent them in Tallahassee.”

“With the newly-drawn district lines, we finally have a chance for more direct representation for our local communities, and I am excited about the opportunities that lay ahead for Northeast Florida,” said Hutson.  “Having grown up in the district, I understand the needs of our area and believe that I am the conservative candidate our local communities need in our state’s capital.”
