Oh no, Pinellas’ best kept secret is out!

We’ve always known that we had the best beaches in the U.S., but now here Trip Advisor goes and lets our secret out of the bag, naming St. Pete Beach #1 in its Top Ten Beach Destinations in the United States.

Trip Advisor describes St. Pete Beach: “Sugary-white sand, dolphins frolicking just off shore and eight major barrier islands make St. Pete Beach a postcard-perfect seaside destination. Situated on a peninsula off Florida’s west coast, it is an ideal place to experience the state’s wild beauty and the magical golden rays of the Sunshine State.”

Get ready for a fun-filled spring, Floridians. Here’s to hoping tourists truly do flock our way to enjoy our shores and sunshine and all of the other things that make St. Petersburg the awesome city that it is. And here’s a little wink for luck that you and I can still find a nice quite spot on our favorite beach amid the crowds.

While St. Pete Beach takes first place in Trip Advisor’s publication, it’s not the only Florida city getting top rankings. Trailing just behind St. Pete Beach in the #2 spot is Miami Beach, FL. This is followed by #3 Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Virginia Beach, VA takes #4 while Honolulu, HI is at #5.

Congratulations St. Pete Beach!
