The Florida Chamber of Commerce today announces that Kevin Derby will be joining the Florida Chamber’s communications and public affairs team as Communications Coordinator on August 13. Derby, who considers Jacksonville as his home town, has resigned his associate editor position with Sunshine State News to accept the Florida Chamber position.

“Kevin’s knowledge and experience in communicating to diverse audiences will advance the breadth, depth and results of the Florida Chamber of Commerce,” said Edie Ousley, Vice President of Public Affairs for the Florida Chamber. “His rich understanding of Florida’s political process, talented ability to communicate and dedication to free enterprise principles will help translate the Florida Chamber’s mission to multiple audiences.”

“Having called the Sunshine State home for almost three decades, it’s an honor to join the Florida Chamber of Commerce,” said Derby. “As the state’s economy continues to change, Florida stands at a crossroads making what happens in Tallahassee and across the state in the next few years pivotal. I’m looking forward to working with the Florida Chamber to help secure Florida’s future.”
