US Rep. Southerland getting big help from Koch brothers

The PAC of the energy company run by conservative billionaires David and Charles Koch is doing what it can to keep U.S. Rep. Steve Southerland, in Congress in the face of a challenge from Democrat Gwen Graham, whose name is familiar because her father is former Sen. and Gov. Bob Graham. The Center for Public Integrity reports (via the News Service of Florida) that KOCHPAC has given the legal maximum $10 K to just four candidates – one of them being Southerland.

Graham’s candidacy is getting some attention too – and the race was fairly close last year  when Southerland’s opponent was Al Lawson.
