Lois Frankel’s campaign released its first TV ad, a 30-second spot titled “Always.” The ad, in which Frankel explains her record as a former legislator and mayor, begins running in both the Palm Beach and Miami media markets today.

“As West Palm Beach’s mayor I took on the establishment to cut crime, create jobs and balance the budget,” Frankel says in the ad. “I took on insurance companies—forcing them to cover mammograms—stopping them from gouging seniors. In Congress, I’ll strengthen Social Security, defend Medicare and protect women’s health care. My record is clear. I always take your side. Always.”

“It’s a shame my general election opponent, Adam Hasner, can’t tell Floridians the same thing,” said Frankel. “Hasner supports a plan to end Medicare and increase the cost of prescriptions, raising health care costs for seniors by up to $6,000 a year. And Hasner has repeatedly voted to weaken health care for women, voting to cut funding for local family planning programs, and voting to cut services for poor pregnant women.”

“In Congress, Lois Frankel will focus on creating jobs and defending the services women and seniors depend on. Today we are sharing Lois’s record of getting things done for South Florida,” said Joshua Karp, Frankel campaign spokesman. “With just 114 days left until Election Day, and just four weeks until the primary, we wanted to remind voters that on the issues that matter most — from job creation to Medicare — Lois has always been on their side.”
