Life and politics from the Sunshine State's best city

Welcome home, Angelo Cappelli

I don’t give a shit about what he did or what anyone says about him, Angelo Cappelli is still a good person; he just made a terrible mistake. And now he has paid his debt to society and needs to be free to live the rest of his life in peace.

According to the Department of Corrections, Angelo is due for release today, after more than a year-and-a-half in the can. The only advice I have for him comes from a character on The Wire: You only do two days…the day you go in and the day you come out.

Put it all behind you, Angelo. You were an extremely smart man before you went in and, no doubt, you are just as sharp now as you were then. It would not surprise any of us to see you succeed again.
