I am personally appalled at the posting of the cartoon, which came as a total surprise to me tonight. I want to sincerely apologize to all who were offended by this unauthorized posting by someone to my old FaceBook page, of which we have no control. I requested that FaceBook shut down this page over 3 weeks ago. I want to assure everyone that we are trying now to determine who posted this offensive cartoon and why. This is a divisive, unacceptable act, and is not reflective of the positive tone of inclusiveness we are dedicated to in our campaign.
