Why did Congressman Jeff Miller hold a town hall meeting in a church?

This good Catholic boy just read the story from The Hill about how Republicans at home are facing Tea Party-style protests from liberal, labor groups and I have to wonder, why, in the first place, is Congressman Jeff Miller holding a town hall meeting in a church?

I know its North Florida and sometimes churches double as community centers, but wasn’t the Cottondale Community Hall available?

The optics of U.S. Rep. Miller up on the altar, telling the congregation, err, crowd to ‘shut up’ is simply disconcerting.
