Before Sunday, I had never watched an entire NASCAR race. But after I learned that driver Kurt Busch was dedicating the race to the memory of Congressman C.W. “Bill” Young, I spent an entire afternoon watching left turns.
That’s how I became a fan of Busch, who is godfather to Easton Young, the son of Bill Young II.
So why do I love Kurt Busch?
Most reading this won’t understand this, but, reportedly, at yesterday’s public viewing of Congressman Young, Busch made it his business to ask Michael Pinson, you know, The Douchebag, to leave the event. In addition to the countless reasons why Pinson should be thrown out of political events, he had the gall to have his supporters announce on Tuesday that he was likely running for Congressman Young’s seat.
Thank you, Kurt Busch, thank you.
