Will Weatherford endorses Jason Fischer in HD 16

Today, former House Speaker Will Weatherford announced hisĀ endorsement of state House candidate Jason Fischer.

“Jason Fischer is exactly the kind of principled conservative leader that JacksonvilleĀ needs,ā€ said Weatherford. ā€œI am proud to support Jason as the nextĀ representative from District 16 because I know he will be a strong voice for theĀ conservative reforms our state needs to continue being the best place to live, work andĀ raise a family.ā€

ā€œIt’s an honor to have Speaker Weatherford’s support in this campaign to bring common-sense conservative solutions to Tallahassee,ā€ Fischer said. ā€œSpeaker Weatherford was aĀ principled conservative reformer when he led the House and his exemplary leadership isĀ a model for all conservatives to follow.ā€

Fischer is running for House District 16,Ā which covers Mandarin, Baymeadows and most of southeast Duval County. He is aĀ Jacksonville native who resides in Mandarin and is a graduate of the University of NorthĀ Florida.

In November 2012, Fischer was elected as the youngest member of the DuvalĀ County School Board, a positionĀ that he currently holds. He leads businessĀ development in the Jacksonville metropolitan area for URETEK Holdings.
