"Yes on Amendment 4" campaign to lower property taxes launching today

Today, you will begin to see the launch of the “Yes on Amendment 4″ campaign by a group called Florida Taxpayers First.

Proponents of Amendment 4 say the measure will lower property taxes for new homebuyers by providing an additional homestead exemption, give the Legislature the authority to prevent property taxes from increasing while a home’s value is decreasing, and lower potential assessment increases on nonhomestead properties from a burdensome 10 percent to a more reasonable 5 percent.
