Oldsmar elected officials all line up behind Ed Hooper in Senate race

Ed Hooper has now received the endorsement of every Oldsmar city elected official in his bid for Florida Senate. Hooper, a retired fire Lieutenant who served on the Clearwater City Council before spending eight years in the Florida House, is seeking to replace term-limited Clearwater Sen. Jack Latvala in 2018.

Four candidates in two Oldsmar city elections will square off at a candidate forum Tuesday night. The Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce is hosting the event along with the city of Oldsmar. Candidates include Seat 2 incumbent Dan Saracki and his challenger, Dan Belcher. Saracki also heads the city’s bicentennial planning committee.
