Donald Trump looking to Sarah Huckabee Sanders in tough moments

in 2017 by

Faced with aggressive on-air questioning about the president’s wiretapping claims, Sarah Huckabee Sanders didn’t flinch, she went folksy. Speaking to George Stephanopoulos on “Good Morning America,” she pulled out a version of an old line from President Lyndon Johnson: “If the president walked across the Potomac, the media would be reporting that he could not swim.” The 34-year-old spokeswoman for President Donald Trump was schooled in hardscrabble politics — and down-home rhetoric — from a young age by her father,…

Rick Scott gearing up for GOP convention speech

in 2017/Top Headlines by

Gov. Rick Scott brushed off questions about whether Donald Trump would be able to secure the nomination next week, saying the New York Republican is the clear winner. “He clearly won the delegates,” said Scott during a stop in Naples on Friday. “My goal is that we have a great convention, and we highlight where we’re going as a country and a party, and we have a big win and change the direction of this country.” Scott is one of dozens…

Now the Dick Morris event is free

in The Bay and the 'Burg by

Who wouldn’t want to part with $75 to hear Dick Morris pontificate on the art of having your toes sucked? Evidently, not enough local Republicans, as the Pinellas GOP decided, rather than face a half-empty theatre, to give away tickets to Morris’ speaking engagement at The Palladium.

Half-off sale on Dick Morris

in The Bay and the 'Burg by

Evidently ticket sales to see Dick Morris “Live on Stage” (as opposed to Dead on TV?) at the Palladium are not the summer blockbuster the Pinellas County Republican Executive Committee expected. Regular and VIP tickets are now being sold at half what they were originally priced, which, no matter what the cost, are still too much to go listen that bloated blowhard pontificate.
