Trulieve launches new product, Rescue Nasal Spray for seizure patients

in Apolitical by

Friday, Trulieve begins selling a new product: Rescue Nasal Spray.

Specifically designed for patients who experience seizures, Rescue Nasal Spray is a Cannatol product that is inhaled through the nose at the onset of a seizure event, has become the “go-to” product for quickly stopping seizures.

“Seizures may occur as a consequence of many medical conditions, both brain related and otherwise. Generally, it is difficult to predict when a seizure will occur; although sleep loss, fatigue, and stress can be triggers,” said Dr. Aung-Din, an award-winning neurologist in the Tampa Bay Area.

“Nasal delivery, such as with Cannatol, is ideal for aborting a seizure as it allows medication to work within a short period of time. Stopping a seizure episode within seconds can make a significant difference in a patient’s health and overall quality of life,” added Aung-Din.

“Branden has been having seizures for six years now and we tried many different medications. Some medications worked but had terrible side effects. Cannatol doesn’t have all those side effects and will stop a seizure in seconds,” remarked Renee Petro. Petro’s 15-year old son, Branden suffers from febrile infection-related epilepsy syndrome, which causes him to have seizures, among other symptoms. “Having legal access to Cannatol here in Florida will be life-changing for him,” added Petro.

Trulieve will be holding patient support groups Saturday to discuss Rescue Nasal Spray and Epilepsy. Support groups will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 1 at each of Trulieve’s seven locations in Clearwater, Edgewater, Miami, Pensacola, Tallahassee, Tampa, and The Villages.
