As the rest of the nation gears up for a weekend of March Madness, political aficionados in Florida will be keeping their eyes on TallyMadness — an online competition to determine Florida’s best lobbyist.

One face-off to pay close attention to is the bruising match-up between overall #1 seed Nick Iarossi and #16 seed Carlos Cruz.

As of late Friday afternoon, Cruz is down less than one percent to Iarossi, prompting chants of “Upset! Upset” throughout the Fourth Floor of the Capitol.

With less than seventy-two hours left in first-round voting, Iarossi still has time to build a comfortable lead over Cruz, while Cruz must be hoping to stay close to Iarossi and pull ahead at the end.

Folow @TallyMadness over the weekend for score updates on this match-up and all of the TallyMadness.
