#16 seed Marc Reichelderfer pulls ahead of #1 seed Brian Ballard in TallyMadness — can he hang on to lead?

Like Joe Namath before Super Bowl III, underdog Marc Reichelderfer is seeking to pull off an upset in this year’s TallyMadness — the online voting competition to determine Florida’s “best lobbyist.”

As of Saturday night, Reichelderfer has pulled ahead — by just one vote at last count — of Brian Ballard in their first-round face-off. That lead may be difficult to hang on to.

Ballard is probably not taking any chances with the well-liked Reichelderfer. After all, he knows what it’s like to be upset in the first-round. In 2011, the lobbyist with a client list longer than a Summer afternoon was picked off by eventual TallyMadness champ Steve Madden.

With just over 48 hours left in first-round voting, it will be fun to watch whether Reichelderfer can hang on to his narrow lead? Or will Goliath finally beat David?
