How good are the college football teams in the state of Florida?

From pretty good to awful, that’s how they stack up according to the ratings of USA Today

According to the rankings, the University of Florida, under Jim McElwain, is the 13th best team in the country, just ahead of Michigan State. Rival FSU, coached by Jimbo Fisher, coming off a loss against Clemson, is ranked No. 20 in the poll.

At 6-3, Miami is ranked No. 43 according to the poll. South Florida is No. 77. FIU is No. 90, Florida Atlantic is No. 114 and UCF is ranked dead last at No. 128.
