Rays’ Erasmo Ramirez has tough outing against Detroit

John Mayberry Jr. hit a solo home run in the seventh inning Tuesday, leading the Detroit Tigers to a 6-5 spring training win over the Tampa Bay Rays.

Mayberry’s homer snapped a 5-5 tie. The Rays had jumped to a 3-0 lead on a homer by Kyle Roller, but Detroit came right back and scored five off of starter Erasmo Ramirez.

Tim Beckam, Nick Franklin and Roller all had two hits for the Rays.
