After helping steer Gov. Rick Scott’s legislative agenda, including a sweeping Medicaid rewrite that requires most managed care patients to enroll in HMOs, Hayden Dempsey is returning to his former law firm to head up the government affairs practice at Greenberg Traurig in Tallahassee, writes Christine Jordan Sexton.

“Hayden’s strong hands-on knowledge of Florida’s political and business environment will be of value to our clients throughout the state,” said Fred Baggett, managing shareholder of the Tallahassee office, in a prepared statement.

Dempsey left the governor’s staff in Aug. 12, shortly after Scott brought on new chief of staff Steve MacNamara.
