As part of its ongoing investment in Florida, AT&T announced today it is hiring for more than 650 positions statewide, including nearly 350 newly created jobs.
Many of the new positions are tied to AT&T’s recently announced Project Velocity IP, a three-year $14 billion investment plan to expand and enhance its national wireless and wired IP broadband networks.
“The investment we’re making in our wireless and wired networks is essential to spurring Florida’s economy and creating jobs,” said AT&T Florida President Marshall Criser, lll. “In our wireless world, mobile and broadband networks create economic opportunities for health care, manufacturing, education, transportation and public safety, and virtually every other economic section.”
The majority of the other positions are with AT&T’s Network and Call Center organizations, with a focus on making the customer experience as effortless as possible.
