Rowdies name former player to franchise president and general manager

The Tampa Bay Rowdies have named a former player the president and general manager of the St. Petersburg North American Soccer League franchise. Farrukh Quraishi was first drafted to play for the Rowdies in 1975 and now heads the team after years of off-the-field experience. Quraishi was involved in the development of Major League Soccer and the establishment of the Tampa Bay Mutiny. Fusion pizza and wing joint to open next to World of Beer in downtown St. Pete

A new pizza concept hub will open on First Avenue South where Wood Fired Pizza once was. Owner Philippe Theodore plans to use the closed down pizza joint to create ethnic inspired pizzas with sauces from all different cultural culinary twists. For the third straight year, the Tampa Bay Region has earned a dismal D+ for the ability for middle-class residents to afford middle-class homes, according to a new study by Interest.com. Luxury movie theater to open at Tyrone Mall
