Beacon Communications Group today launched FL Capitol Connection, a free app for the iPhone and Android smart phones aimed at improving citizens’ access to their elected officials.

“Everyone should have the opportunity to contact their representatives and FL Capitol Connection provides a direct link to members of Florida’s Cabinet and the Legislature,” said Vivian Myrtetus, developer of the FL Capitol Connection app and president of Beacon Communications Group. “This app puts social activism in the palm of your hand and lets citizens easily connect with their representatives in Tallahassee with the click of a button.”

Recent studies reveal that more than 61.5 million people in the United States own smart phones. The FL Capitol Connection smart phone app enhances communication between grassroots activists and elected officials.

Myrtetus added, “This cutting-edge tool is a great way for citizens to engage with their government. Tallahassee insiders can track committee action and bills while Floridians across the state can call or email their representatives and voice their support or opposition for legislation.”
