Blaise Ingoglia, vice chair of the Republican Party of Florida, added another $4,200 from June 21 to July 4 in his bid for House District 35, according to filings with the Florida Division of Elections.
The Spring Hill homebuilder and former tournament poker player raised $159,672 to date. After spending $1,229 in the two-week period, for a total of $48,443 in expenditures, Ingoglia now has $146,229 cash on hand.
Ingoglia is clearly dominating the competition for the seat covering much of Hernando County, currently represented by term-limited Republican Rep. Rob Schenck.
Ingoglia faces Democratic former County Commissioner Rose Rocco, who raised only $550 for a total of $3,678, with $3,421 on hand.
There are also two no-party-affiliation candidates in the race — Hamilton Hanson and James Scavetta. Neither reported donations during the two-week period.
