Blue Jays hit three home runs in knocking off Tampa Bay

in Sports/Top Headlines by

The Tampa Bay Rays jumped all over aging knuckleballer R.J. Dickey Friday night.

After that, Dickey jumped back.

The Rays scored two runs in the top of the first to take a quick lead on Dickey and the Toronto Blue Jays. But Dickey rallied for his 100th win, and he retired 18 of the last 19 Rays he faced. Dickey, just shy of his 41st birthday, allowed only four hits over seven innings to even his record at 11-11 for the season.

Toronto, on the verge of clinching a playoff spot, got solo home runs from Josh Donaldson, Kevin Pillar and Jose Bautista. Jake Odorizzi allowed four runs in five innings.

Today, Chris Archer of the Rays pitches against old teammate David Price.
