A divided Public Service Commission on Thursday chose former Commissioner Braulio Baez to come back as the agency’s new executive director, reports the News Service of Florida. The commission voted 3-2 to select Baez over two other finalists. Supporters pointed to his knowledge of the agency, while dissenters said he lacked management experience and raised a concern about a past ethics violation. Baez would replace Tim Devlin, who was forced out as executive director in May. The job is expected to pay between $115,000 and $125,000.
