Brian Hawley just filed to take on Pinellas School Board incumbent Linda Lerner in the District 6 race. Hawley, 30, is a St. Petersburg resident and a language arts teacher at Largo Middle (making him the second language arts teacher at Largo Middle to run for school board this year.)

“I like Linda Lerner. Of all the school board members she’s one of my favorites,” Hawley told The Gradebook.  “But I think the board may be a little disconnected from what’s going on on the ground floor in schools today.”
