Heuchan formerly raised money for the Republican Party of Florida and worked for three Senate Presidents, as well as House Speaker Dan Webster and House Majority Leader Jim King. He was appointed director of statewide campaigns for the RPOF in 1999 where he managed all campaign operations and oversaw a record $6 million budget. He orchestrated a statewide campaign plan that elected a Republican majority to the Florida Senate.
