On Z Grille’s closing

in Peter by

Zach Gross, the mercurial, blisteringly talented chef of the now defunct Z Grille, and I were not close, but we had a connection and, at least from my point of view, actually had a lot in common. First and foremost, we both out-kicked our coverage when it came to the women we were fortunate enough to marry. We’re also both fathers of daughters, who are both only children. We’re both both blunt. We’re both loud. And, yeah, our peers in…

The Sentinel was not too far behind in also reporting this. This was the big political story of the day in…

A programming note: Our Independence Day edition of Sunburn will be published on Monday, but then the hard-working staff which assembles this newsletter will be taking off Tuesday and Wednesday. As Democrats speak out on health care bill, Rubio’s listening tour continues No one is certain when, if ever, the Senate will vote on its current version of the health care bill, but we now know it will be after July 4. The level of opposition to it, measured in decibels, is well known, while supporters, or those on the fence, are either soft-spoken or mute. With all Democrats opposed, it was a handful of GOP senators that brought the…
