Calling all volunteers seeking to make St. Petersburg even more beautiful! Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 26, at 8:30 am. Steve Kornell jabs at Angela Rouson in dueling mail-pieces to early voters
The question “Who says…?” is at the center of the debate between Steve Kornell and Angela Rouson in their campaign to win the District 5 seat on the St. Petersburg City Council. Both candidates mailed direct mail-pieces (both of which are heads-and-shoulders better than the butt-wipe the Mayoral Candidates mailed out) to the so-called early voters and the differences between the two is obvious: Steve Kornell is a recreation leader, Angela Rouson is a leader, period. Kornell’s mail-piece is actually…

The Pinellas Supervisor of Elections got its act together — what would Deborah Clark do without John Buckmaster? — and mailed out the ballots to so-called early voters for the St. Petersburg Municipal Elections. The ballots are usually followed by the direct mail of candidates smart enough to track these early voters. But in a race in which 55,000 ballots were mailed to early voters, I cannot see the value in spending almost $30K to sending each prospective voter a…
