Charlie Crist, a former Republican governor and current Democratic nominee, will give the opening address at a meeting at the largest Florida teachers union in Orlando tonight.
Crist will be the headline speaker at around 8:45 p.m. at the annual Florida Education Association (FEA) Delegate Assembly, which begins today through Saturday at the Rosen Centre Hotel.
The FEA summit brings more than 1,000 delegates together, to listen to a variety of speakers, as well as set the agenda for nearly 140,000 educators and school support professionals statewide.
The Rosen Centre is at 9840 International Drive in Orlando.
Before that, Crist joins Pasco County Tax Collector Mike Fasano at a campaign rally at 4:30 p.m. in New Port Richey. The event will be at the Gulf Harbor Civic Association, 4610 Floramar Terrace.
Fasano, a Rick Scott Republican appointee, was recently featured in a recent pro-Crist television spot, “Working Together.”
