“Charlie Crist for Florida” sent another $2 million to the Florida Democratic Party from Sept. 27 to Oct. 3, bringing its total to $19.4 million since December, according to the state Division of Elections.
In the weeklong period, the committee supporting the Democratic gubernatorial candidate raised $911,400 for an overall total of $22.7 million. At the same time, it spent $2,243,063 for overall expenditures of $20,561,633.
Both Crist’s committee and “Let’s Get to Work,” the committee backing Republican Gov. Rick Scott, have regularly siphoned money to the Democratic and Republican parties, respectively, in recent months.
The money will be for such projects such as get-out-the-vote efforts
An updated report for “Let’s Get to Work” has not yet been posted to the Division of Elections website as of Friday afternoon. But the most recent finance reports posted on the “Work” website show more than $16 million going to the Republican Party of Florida.
