As he has tried to add jobs in Florida, Gov. Rick Scott has publicly courted the parent company of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and the Chicago Board of Trade.
Among his arguments: Florida has friendlier taxes than Illinois.
But Scott can forget about luring the CME Group, after Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn signed legislation that will provide tax breaks to keep the company and another major employer, Sears Holding Corp., in the Land of Lincoln, according to the Chicago Tribune.
