Congrats to Politico on the 600th edition of ‘Morning Score’

After I put to bed the eighth (!) edition of Sunburn, my morning read about what’s hot in Florida politics, I read that Politico is marking the 600th edition of ‘Morning Score’, it’s all-encompassing, agenda-setting email which, along with The Playbook, is the godfather to every email by which political aficianados begin their day.

Now knowing how challenging it is to put together a morning email program, I have a newfound respect for the team at Politico.

Here’s what James Hohmann wrote this morning:

“Congratulations to Alex Burns, who conceived of and launched this email at the start of 2010. The POLITICO ethos is constant reexamination, innovation and adaptation. One of Score’s mantras is: Remember that Hotmail was once hot. So, please, never hesitate to let me know how I can better serve you as a reader. What do you like? Dislike? What’s missing? What’s there too much of? Email me anytime at jhohmann@politico.com or call me at 703-647-7697.”

I might just email Hohmann, if only to congratulate him and his colleagues on a job well done.
