Beef ‘O’ Brady Bowl St. Petersburg is scheduled for kickoff on Friday, December 21, 2012 for its fifth annual game. Featuring the BIG EAST Conference team against a Conference USA school, the game is scheduled to be aired on ESPN.

“The Friday primetime kickoff will enable more fans from our community to attend the game while also showcasing our market to a national viewing audience on ESPN,” said Brett Dulaney, Beef ‘O’ Brady’s Bowl St. Petersburg Executive Director.

“The switch to Friday night should be beneficial for the St. Petersburg tourism industry as well. Teams will arrive earlier in the week with their fans, filling up hotel rooms and restaurants during a week that is typically one of the slower tourism weeks,” he added.

Last year, the Beef ‘O’ Brady’s Bowl St. Petersburg Bowl hosted Marshall of Conference USA against FIU of the Sun Belt Conference. The Thundering Herd prevailed 20-10 over the Panthers, providing Conference USA its first-ever bowl win at Tropicana Field in the first four years of the game.
