Democratic congressman Patrick Murphy raises over $550,000 in first quarter

Patrick Murphy’s campaign announced it has raised over $550,000 in the first quarter of 2013, with $650,000 cash on hand. 

“I am humbled to have received the financial support of so many people to start 2013 on such strong footing,” commented Murphy. “This unprecedented support shows that the people are truly responding to the need for bipartisan efforts in Congress.  I look forward to continuing to work with the residents of the Treasure Coast and Palm Beaches and being their voice in Washington.”

“It is great to report such a strong first quarter filing which far exceeded our expectations,” said Murphy for Congress finance director Mandi Karp.  “The people of Florida’s 18th district have shown that they want the continued bipartisan leadership that Patrick has been bringing to Washington.”
