A bill creating destination gaming resorts is on the agenda for Tuesday’s meeting of the Senate Commerce and Tourism Committee, less than a week after the sponsor of the main bill essentially declared his measure dead, according to the News Service of Florida. Sen. Dennis Jones, R-Seminole, withdrew his bill (SB 1708) to create five “destination resorts” on Wednesday. But a similar bill by Sen. Oscar Braynon, D-Miami Gardens, is now on the committee’s agenda.
