Direct mail round-up: The "Sandusky" mailer — perhaps the most atrocious piece of the year

Incoming House Speaker Will Weatherford on Friday night condemned a last-minute attack ad that attempts to link Democratic state House candidate Karen Castor Dentel to convicted child sex predator Jerry Sandusky.

“This ad is completely inappropriate. I do not condone it and it has no place in the campaign,”  Weatherford,  said on Twitter.

The mailer, which began arriving in Orange and Seminole County mailboxes today, was paid for by a group called the “Committee to Protect Florida.”

Material from the Orlando Sentinel was used in this post.
