Naturally, every Starbucks in the free world then received phone calls asking if they had a copy of the album. And seemingly no one did. So what exactly happened? Well, it’s not unusual for radio stations or stores to receive watermarked copies of albums in some pre-promotion form, and this is probably the case. The good amigos of the Starbucks in Puerto Rico probably jumped the gun playing it – probably innocently enough. But that doesn’t mean someone won’t receive a boot to the trasero over this one. Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King is slated for release June 2. But now everyone thinks it’ll be sooner.
