Ed Montanari grews his list of supporters with the addition of two prominent names to his host committee.

State Rep. Kathleen Peters and St. Petersburg Free Clinic CEO Beth Houghton have joined Montanari’s list of co-chairs.

In a tweet, Peters wrote, “Happy to be named a Co Chair of the @EdMontanari Campaign for St Petersburg City Council.”

They then directed followers to his campaign website where supporters can contribute to Montanari’s campaign.

Peters and Houghton join former St. Pete Mayors Rick Baker and Bill Foster and Councilmembers Amy Foster and Bill Dudley on the host committee.

So far, Montanari has not drawn a challenger for his District 3 bid. If elected, he will replace Dudley on the council. Dudley is not seeking re-election due to term limits.
