Ed Montanari is holding one of the first fundraising receptions for his bid for St. Pete City Council District 3.
Hosted by Young Floridians for Opportunity, a local group supporting conservative candidates, the fundraiser will be at the St. Petersburg Yacht Club today from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Host committee includes YFO PAC President Berny Jacques, Treasurer Gordon Oldham and Secretary Megan Roach. Also hosting are Erica & Nick DiCeglie, owner of Solar Sanitation, Inc.; businessman LJ Govoni; developer Ryan Hartney, attorney Todd & Rachel Jennings; and Matt Lettelleir of 3 Daughters Brewing in St. Petersburg.
Suggested minimum donation is $20, with a maximum donation limit of $1,000. The St. Petersburg Yacht Club is at 11 Central Ave. in St Petersburg.
After years serving as a community advocate, including a wide range of community advisory panels, Montanari is seeking the District 3 seat currently held by term-limited Councilman Bill Dudley.
Dudley, as well as state Rep. Kathleen Peters, St. Petersburg Free Clinic CEO Beth Houghton and a number of local leaders have since endorsed Montanari.
