The Jacksonville Jaguars host the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, andĀ two prominent Florida Republicans have weighed in on itĀ as ESPN reports.

Their Jaguars beat writer,Ā Mike DiRocco, tweeted on Saturday evening that ā€œJacksonville MayorĀ Ā defends theĀ Ā and predicts a big win over the Dolphins on Sunday.ā€

SenatorĀ Marco Rubio, who hasn’t been shy about his sports opinions of late, volunteered some fantasy football advice; to start Dolphins QBĀ Ryan TannehillĀ against the Jaguars because ā€œThe Dolphins should win again this week!ā€

Jacksonville MayorĀ Lenny Curry, whose appreciation for the Jaguars is second to none (including attending multiple training camp practices), fired back at one of his key mayoral endorsers.

ā€œSenatorĀ Ā myĀ Ā led by my manĀ Ā is gonna lay it on yourĀ ,ā€ Curry Tweeted back.
